Whaddon Home

Strollers lost the toss and were put in to bat. An impressive first wicket stand of 55 between Green and Bandy before Simeon retired for 50 also witnessed Bandy amassing 40 runs. Our new overseas player Tim Paul was out for 49 in a blatent bit of jug avoidence (a natural Stroller if ever I saw one). We managed 213 off 36 Overs.
After a splendid tea – picture provided, we recommenced hostilities with Joe Coker and Matt Inman opening the Bowling. Joe bowled extremly well with no reward while Matt was pretty much unplayable on a turning wicket taking 3 in as many overs. The opening bowlers were well backed up by the other colts Daniel Williamson and Lucus Gallow, with Daniel taking a crucial wicket. Whaddon’s Captain came in with the their backs against the wall and began to get them back in the game with a few lusty blows. He was accounted for brilliently by Matt Inman coming back into the attack to scupper any chance they had left and to claim his 5fer. Waddon eventually falling short by 90 odd runs.
Looks good

Setting the standard for future teas.

MOM Tim Paul for an impressive debut 49 and in the wickets.
